Yes- good area/ schools, but a bit on the side. It depends on your price range, but i dont think any parts are bad as long as its Merrick SD.

I don't know if your interested..but if you can look in suffolk!! houses are much much cheaper and taxes are lower! my taxes are 6k a year (thats in holtsville!)

I don't know if your interested..but if you can look in suffolk!! houses are much much cheaper and taxes are lower! my taxes are 6k a year (thats in holtsville!)

I would LOVEEEEEEEE to. I was born and raised in Suffolk and love it soooooo freaking much. But FH is working in NYC and doesn't want to commute a lot. I lived not too far from Holtsville. My whole childhood revolved around going to the holtsville ecology center

yea i hear that! thats tough then! i would have to do the same thing if we worked in nyc..fortunately for us we both work in suffolk!

I grew up in Merrick and went to HS there. It is a really nice neighborhood and the school district is also really good. Great choice

So funny, we were looking there also and the taxes are

We found the most amazing tudor home but with the taxes we would be stretching it. Now we're looking at some condos in Williamsburg. (FH and I work in NYC)
