My brother met his wife on-line, they were both bidding on something weird on e-bay (that no one else but these two wackos would probably want) and thats how they met....They got married 2 1/2 years ago

That's sooooooo cute!!! They met on ebay!!! I live on ebay!!! My friend hooked up with a guy on match.com. So far they've been together for a couple of months.

one of my best friends met her husband online....in a chat room, but they were only watching, not chatting....and he was checking profiles and she had some obscure quote that he thought was interesting...they are going to be married 4 years this year.

That's so sweet.....I met my FI on match.com. His quote was 'If it's broken, I can fix it ... be it your car, your sink, or a broken heart.' THat really got me. And it was so true!! Then I was afraid he was a LI guido, so I was a bit sceptical about meeting him in person. Well we had our first date Feb. 10, 2002, second on Feb 14, 2002, and have been inseperable since! It's great because we both came out of relationships where we were really hurt, so it's nice to trust someone again, and be in love....makes me so happy!

It really is a love story!!!
I always talk about how cool it is that we met on the internet.
We got engaged within two months and we have been together for a year
and 7 months so far.
I would say that this truely was Love at First Site!

I met my FI from Love@AOL almost 4 years ago. My best friend and another friend of mine each met their DHs on the internet too.

Well I met my ex-husband in a bar in Spain .... so..... I think the match.com worked better in my case. We met the first time in a public place, and were cautious....plus we got to know each other a bit beforehand. And neither one of us had been drinking, so he looked good to me sober which is a good sign!
I think a lot of people meet this way nowadays, and I am not embarassed by it at all. As long as you are cautious and careful, I believe it is as good a way as any, and better than plenty, of meeting someone! I keep trying to get my sister to try it -- she's 42 and FINALLY got rid of the psycho BF - after 7 years!

I was trying to get my feet wet here and since I used to be on #texas & #austin when I lived in San Antonio it seemed like place to start.

Met Jim when I posted my photo and he showed me his cat! Which looked like mine and he wanted to see Final Destination and so did I but didnt know anyone who wanted to see it with me.

He got the OK by this other guy or I would NEVER have gone out with him.

Other guy:
Some conversation was ongoing about brave 'I can one up you' .. like 'I'll drop you off at ... XXXX street' I didn't fit in since I know none of the neighborhoods in NYC.

So I mentioned I was Texan and this guy said he dropped me off at a corner.. very tough neighborhood.. haha MY neighborhood.. so we started up a convo and I ended up going to school with this guy's sisters. He's seen my photo online and knew it from the ones in his house (this guy's mother was a photo freak).

So Jim had mentioned going to see Final Destination with me. I wasn't sure what to think. So I asked my friend, who said that Jim was an ok guy, real sweet, really nice. So I figured he was safe.

We only talked online like 2 days. Met for a movie and dinner (stag) and the rest as they say .... is history.

Must say tho, meeting a guy online meant he didnt get my phone number for 3weeks and didn't know where I lived for 2 months. He'd pick me up in Astoria and I'd call from pay phones. LOL just in case he was a stalker.

I met my DH on Lavalife.com...we talked via email for one week on the phone for another and then met face to face in front of the giant Toys R Us in Times Square on March 23, 2002. It was love and we began planning our wedding one month after we began dating. We waited six months to tell the folks though. Didn't want to give them heart attacks.

We've been together for over two years and cannot imagine life without the other. We still have a tough time getting our heads around the fact that we met online.

i met my dh on line he was in a chatroom and i liked his profile and it was love ever since lol. the funny thing was i asked him his last name and said hmmm that would sound nice with my first name lol he thought i was crazy and 3 years later i got it lol. my brother also met his girlfriend through hot or not and my mom met my step dad on aol over 50s chat

My FI answered my ad on Love@aol. We emailed back and forth a couple of times then we started speaking on the phone for hours every night, then he took me out to dinner and tried to take me to bullwinkles but couldnt find it and he was so embarrassed - it was cute, so we stopped got a cup of coffee parked some where and stayed out until about 3am then went out the next night (Sat.) until about the same time then on Sun. I knew he was special when we were on the phone, it was almost as if we knew each other forever and he says the same thing. Since that night we have been inseparable.

That's something different
We talked for about 2 months before we even met!
I wasn't even that interested in him right away. I gave it a shot and went with an open mind. And now we're getting married NEXT MONTH!

My brother met his wife on aol and I met my fh on match(keep it in thefamily ) Fh have been together four years and are getting married this summer.

I met my amazing FH through a personal ad in Newsday - he answered my ad - we first met on December 14, 2001...

That night changed our lives forever.....
