First time we met was a singles event, went out on two dates, me dating someone else at time picked other guy. Liked DH alot but since had gone out with other guy four times already decided to go with him.
Fast forward 5-6 months later, ended with other guy, run into him in Le Bar Bat- we talk exchange niceties, etc. we go our separate ways.
Fast forward 2 weeks later, I am on Jdate.com and see his profile BUT the kicker is that I respond to him WITHOUT recognizing his picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He writes back and says'Andrea, if you wanted to go out with me you should have told me two weeks ago at Le Bat' I flip out. I email him back, he givs me number. I call. we go out. .
We are now married for 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FH answered my ad on Love@aol. I was living in Merrick, he was living in Ronkonkoma and it turns out we grew up in the same town and went to the same high school AND I played softball with one of his sisters! Talk about fate!!

I did, I did! I met my FH on jdate.com. I had just gotten out of an *AWFUL* relationship and my friend who had been on it for a year dared me to do it, so I did it as a joke - my FH and I met within one week of being online. One night I was looking through profiles and saw a pic of this gorgeous Israeli guy wearing a sarong! I thought it was the funniest thing in the world so I wrote him an email saying 'nice sarong' - he wrote back, 'you think? because I like the black one better because I think the white one makes my butt look fat' ... our first date lasted 5 hours at a coffee shop and after our second date, I came home and told my friend I was going to marry him. 3 months later we moved in, and one year later we were engaged... and I still wake up in the night, look over at him and think to myself, I can't believe I'm so lucky...

That's so neat. I didn't meet FH online, but we became friends over IM at first. I think it's so cool that there are so many success stories. I didn't know that there were so many. I have a friend who is looking for the right woman. He was engaged to someone he met online, but it fell through and since he's been heartbroken. Maybe I'll send him to match.com!

Scott and I met on match.com too. I was on a three day trial and he was taking his profile off. He was the first and only guy I met.

A friend of mine met her FH on mAtch.com - all because I made her put a profile on - she was down in the dumps about dating and I said it would hurt to try and 1-yr later shes engaged to be married...YAY
