M*I**A Prize..

.Ok so I am very disappointed. M ia. herself is not available for my day (which I figured.) But when I called the business manager said I could use the gift certificate for a different member of her team.

Well as our conversations go on, (after I called back because she never returned the call/email like she was supposed to..) they tell me that the gift certificate was not good for the wedding day but for any other day of makeup () I explain (not in a nice tone lol) that this was very misleading and Im not happy with that. She puts me on hold and comes back to tell me that I can't use it anyway because it was only good for M ia herself, not for somebody who works on her team. So now, this prize that I won for our wedding day is useless to me. They also kept asking how many bridesmaids, if i needed hair too...i just kept saying 'Nope, just my makeup.' I really felt like since I was a free application and had nobody else coming to them that they didnt want to deal with me. I wrote them back and told them that i was not interested in being another check for their pockets and would not use them. I just thought it was terrible business. So they cotnacted me again (through colleen ) and said I can use the application for a different day. SO I am going to hold onto it but there is a big chance that I will be giving it to the first person who FMs me one day in the near future!

Ladies, just be careful, i get a bad vibe from that place...i know some of you are using her and thats great, just make sure you are getting what you originally thought you were...

Maybe you can use it for the day of your bachlorette party or shower (if it is not a surprise).

yeah...at this point, i have such a bad taste in my mouth i dont even know if i would want to...does that make sense?

I understand - the way vendors treat you can make such a big difference and I also get turned off by rudeness etc.

I had a great experience with M*I*A and her team, sorry to hear you did not like your experience so far. It was NOT M ias fault. THe woman i dealt with was not great, i actually have had NO contact with M ia which is unfortuante, but i just felt like I was another paycheck.

Sorry you felt like another paycheck because I know that is not a very good feeling. I would try to talk to *** herself because maybe she can do your make-up after her appointment that day or something.
or if that doesnt work did you take e-pics yet? b-pics?..... sorry I know thats not really what you want it for

Thats really stinks Lauren, I am so sorry! I wish that it worked out better for you! I can totally understand why you would be left with a bad taste in your mouth and would shy away from using her because I would feel the SAME way! FH and I have chosen all of our vendors by quality of work/word of mouth/ and how well we mesh with them based on their vibes... based on this, I dont care how great you do... I would just feel like another ordinary bride...and YOU, my dear are much better than that! Forget them

Ok now I'm scared I emailed them Sunday night and have not heard back. I didn't mention the gift I won.

Yea I hear ya! I wouldnt want to deal with a vendor after going through what you went through...even if it was for free.

thanks ladies...exactly angela...i thought about that...i heard that she has been known to book people but if someone else that would be more money would come along she would go there and leave a 'team member' to do the previously booked event...don't know how true it is, but i wouldn't doubt it at this point!
