Michael Hart Band - Hank Lane

Has anybody heard them play live? We have heard a CD from them, and they sound good - was wondering if anybody out there has any opinions (good or bad) on Michael Hart Band from Hank Lane. Thanks.

Personally, I have not heard good things about Hank Lane at all. My cousin used them 2 years ago, and they completely changed the band members that she contracted for and IMO, they sounded horrible at her wedding. It was a standing joke actually...my cousin was actually laughing during her dance w/her Dad b/c they just couldn't believe how disappointing the band was.

We actually went to 2 weddings Hank Lane played at. One was very good. I liked the energy and they took very little breaks. When I found out they spent 12,000 on the band, I was a little taken back because I do not remember the singers being that good. However I know the bride was very happy and thats what counts. The other party was at Carlyle On The Green. At the party The band leader and the groom were screaming at each other nose to nose on the dance floor. Chris you asked, we've told.

I have seen mike hart and his band and they are excellent. He's a really nice guy too and see if you can meet him if you do i'm sure you'll like him

I used to work as a catering manager at a NY hotel and hank lane bands played there all the time. I probably have seen 10 different bands of theirs over the 2 years i was there and each one was always very professional. They do have different kinds of bands for different kinds of weddings tho, so my advise is to be detailed as to what music styles are most important to you when you talk to them. frankly i dont know a band with a better reputation and i have seen alot of bands.

I'm using the steve delisi band. (i'm no longer in the business,,,went back to law school)

yes i have seen chuck compo's band and they are very fun and he's not your typical ego maniac bandleader...he's a regular nice guy...and also not as wildly expensive as some of their other bands i believe.

i believe his wife sings with his band too.

Thanks for the info...i actually found them to be pretty expensive...they were more than any other band i looked at (about 10 bands)...
