Might have to kick my own brother out of my wedding!
My brother is being such a jerk. I have no idea what his problem. Me, my other brother and my dad have been trying to get in touch with him since EASTER!! He doesn't return phone calls or text. He is 26 years old and is acting like a stupid teenager. I think he may have a drinking problem too. I even called his job today and they said he was but there was no answer at his desk. I do not think that this is how a family should act towards each other. My cousin's christening is this saturday in PA and we kept calling him leaving messages to see if he was coming and no response. I am so pissed off!

I'm sorry you have to go through this... Maybe write him some kind of long email saying you're concerned. If it was my brother I would probably show up at his job... I wouldn't kick him out yet... maybe he needs help?

I am so sorry
I would definitely wait a little bit before kicking him out. Maybe see how he acts if he shows up at the Christening, or see how the summer goes with holidays and all. I am so sorry... he may be going through a hard time. If he has a drinking problem, then something should be done for him.

If he is not returning calls, emails, texts, etc, why not just show up at his place one night? Then you can see whats going on and tell him how you and your family feels.

ITA- sorry you have to go through this. you should def REACH out or have a mutual friend or something reach out to him... go to his job- surprise him with lunch or send him a card saying 'i miss you'... just show him you care, he might open up. it sounds like something is bothering him...

Im sorry to hear you are going through this. I would show up at his job or his house. Its alot easier to talk to someone in person than through emails and text message. Hope everything works out!

ITA agree with this...Just if you decide to do this, dont go alone, bring another man (FH, brother, dad, someone) bc if he does have a drinking problem like you said, he may get confrontational (family or not, play it safe)
Sorry you have to deal with this...If you need anything let me know!!

I have a cousin who is the same EXACT way! He's actually 30 with two beautiful babies and stands them up all the time!!!! My family accepts it and I don't!!! I think you need to stand up for yourself, this is your wedding and I know it's hard but you need to do what is right for you!

I'm sorry you're going through this. Is this a new thing or has this been happening before Easter as well? Maybe trying writing him a letter explaining your concerns and that you miss him.
