She calls DH's cell this morning while we're getting ready for work. He's in the crapper so I answer it.

She says...

'oh! You scared me! I didn't realize you lived there'

Um, W T F?

I was too tired for a witty comeback, so I just said something like 'yeah, I live here now, I have for almost a month, get used to it'

Which is probably better than a snotty comeback, because of course now I'm like George Costanza and have a million great ones for her.

Today is her and FIL's anniversary...and DH and I were going to surprise them with a quick visit tonight. Now we're not, because DH got pissed about the comment. (He overheard my response and wanted to know what it was all about).

THEIR LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would NEVER defend a MIL unless I was one...LOL. Lord knows I am having my own personal issues with FMIL. As I type this response, I am daydreaming about smacking FMIL with a pillowcase filled with apples. But I think if I called someone's cell phone, and their husband or wife answered, it would catch me off guard for 1 minute and I might say something stupid. Not as stupid as her, but I have been known to drop some silliness when I am uncomfortable or caught off guard.

If you want me to fill you up a pillowcase as well, LET ME KNOW.....
