My FMIL has always been very good to me and is incredibly sweet.
She's sooo hands off with the whole wedding, I actually try to get her more involved.

I'm here with ya..... but there's a lot of things that caused me to do so and I have FH backup

We've been on a long journey
And she's not even my MIL yet!!!
If you are in a bad MIL situation don't stress it just give it time, things have a way of turning themselves around.

You are totally not alone! Once a week my FMIL does or says something stupid and ridiculous that annoys me!!!

Ohhh I do not like his mother one bit. After we told her that we were looking to buy a house (and FH went out) she said I am rude and I make her feel uncomfortable in her own house. And that he told her how much I make and he and I will never be able to afford to live away from her.

WOW! I wonder if she's related to my FMIL??? Don't you just wish you could tell them to shove it?!?!?!

Hate is a very strong word, but chose that over 'don't really like her' because that's not strong enough!

Unfortunately, my FMIL is VERY difficult to deal with. She is extremely opinionated, gives unsolicited advice and gets mad when its not followed, and is generally a PITA.

WOW - sounds like mine! Sorry to hear that! I used to LOVE her - I just thought it was funny she was so quirky...until we got engaged. Now every day I remind myself how lucky I am that she lives in PA & I don't have to see her all that often.

im almost in the same boat... he can NEVER do wrong, even when he is being a giant bag, and thinks that he is the best thing since sliced bread... but will never be rude to my face, which is almost worse! if you dont like what im doing tell me and yell at me like my mom does, and then we can fix it and get over it.... im sick of the 'well what i would do is.... but im not pressuring you, just telling you what i would do'

Loved mine but she has passed on.
