Same here, she passed away 3 months after I met DH.
i wasnt going to post that on here, but sometimes i get upset and sad.. i wish i can complain about a MIL instead of not having one at all.

Unfortunately, my FMIL is VERY difficult to deal with. She is extremely opinionated, gives unsolicited advice and gets mad when its not followed, and is generally a PITA.
WOW - sounds like mine! Sorry to hear that! I used to LOVE her - I just thought it was funny she was so quirky...until we got engaged. Now every day I remind myself how lucky I am that she lives in PA & I don't have to see her all that often.

I think you and I could talk for HOURS about this topic! OMG! MIL has three sons!!! Her babies! All three of us girls are in the same boat when it comes to how she treats us being with her sons. I cant stand it!

Mine is actually a step-MIL. FH's mom died 4 years ago..before we met. I love his stepmom though and so does he. she is my FMIL and she says she can't wait until I'm her DIL. I'm lucky!

i vary between liking her and not liking her- she's not a bad person- its just dealing with her requires a lot of patience that I dont have somedays.

Ohhh I do not like his mother one bit. After we told her that we were looking to buy a house (and FH went out) she said I am rude and I make her feel uncomfortable in her own house. And that he told her how much I make and he and I will never be able to afford to live away from her.
