My boyfriend is in the United States Army and we were just wondering if there were any discounts for catering halls, such as Fox Hollow or Jericho Terrace...Our two top Picks!!! If so, how much of a discount, thank you!!!

I would just go ask them. Sometimes they don't advertise it but if your there in person they might.

we are getting married at east wind...i don't think we really got much of a military discount. a lot of places say they can work one in but in the end, you're not negotiating to a lesser price than anyone else is getting because of military. that was my experience at least.

FH and I are both volly FF and we got I think $2-3pp off for that at the hall and once it was mentioned with most vendors they were willing to negotiate cash prices a little more then before we mentioned it. It cant hurt to ask. The worst thing they can say is no.

This! FH is NYPD and VFF in North Bellmore. He mentioned this at every appointment and I was supposed to ask whenever I had an appointment without him.

I haven't found that RH discount your prices, I did get something thrown in though. DJs and Photographers seemed to have more discounts.

Some places will work with you. Just whatever you do, dont mention military before you hear the final price they quote you. After you can ask about a military discount. Then if they can they will reduce price a bit or give you something extra for free.

I got chair covers. It's not much but it's something, especially when they wanted to charge me $6 a chair!
