Re: Milleridge Brides

as far as things being thrown in--my DH loves Sam Adams so we asked about switching the heineken --we were quoted a price--they gave us both without charging!!! we didnt know until day off when DH uncle(who loves heineken) was drinking it---
the internatioanl cordial cart( which we never would have added )
just pulle dout my contract and remembered a big one--
we had 2 star menu and we added viennese hour and shrimp( they dont do it any more) but we picked chateau briand adn back then (not suure if it still like that) but if you choose CB you can only have one other meal--but they upgraded us to 2 in additiion to CB.
we had asked if bar would be open when guests arrive- they said it was up to maitre d of teh day-- we told them either way open it and we will handle cots-- they opened at least 1/2 hour early and we were not charged--
we were not charged for kids meals(although we should have been) we paid the 200 minimum and had right around that number plus the kids(dont remember final head count but we never paid them the night of)
I will be on all day ( off today) so feel free to ask any more questions-- I am so jealous of all the Cottage brides--you will truly love every minute of your day

Re: Milleridge Brides

Jen,
Please report back on your tastings if you wouldn't mind. We aren't going to be able to do one since I live out of town and the only time they can do it when I am home in November is the Sat of my shower. But I am confident about their food...I worked there for three years! Either way I'd love to hear your thoughts on the cocktail hour choices especially! Try out the crepe florentine for me would ya!?

Re: Milleridge Brides

I will do that. Anything else specific you want me to try? Are you having the 2 star or 3? I will give a full report as soon as I have a few minutes this weekend.

Re: Milleridge Brides

Definately going with the 2 star. Three star was a little too fancy for FI tastes! Plus I think the 2 star is great...just enough! Right now we are looking at the LI duckling, Filet of Sole and the Prime Rib. I suggested the chateua briand but FI likes a big ole piece of meat (hmmm...that didn't sound to good huh?). House salad with the yummy milleridge dressing and for desert the swan pastries (they just make such a nice presentation). We are trying to figure out pasta stations and chaffing dishes. So pretty much our dinner is set, just need to figure out cocktail hour.

Re: Milleridge Brides

Ok I will take good notes. It is going to be hard since I will be starving at that point.

Fitting in the morning so minimum food today. I know I know it is silly but every little bit helps

Re: Milleridge Brides

Hi. we did the two star also. they also substituted corona for heineken without any extra cost. they also gave us three entrees instead of two and added something else to the cocktail hour. maybe two pastas (?). everyone said the food was wonderful - i thought so too. we didn't do viennese b/c it was a sunday night but had ice cream parfaits (this was july), cookies on the table, and the cake and i think it was plenty.
