Milleridge cottage

I went from a wedding in a restaurant to being obsessed with the milleridge cottage. I really am hoping to limit it 100 people(I say that now).Is that venue to big for that small of a party(I think it holds a lot more) also Does anyone have sunday afternoon prices? I was wondering if they do a brunch type thing.

Re: Milleridge cottage

the cottage is a 150 person min for weddings... not sure about afternoon pricing, but it's a little more than 100 before tax and service for an evening.. maybe their person minimum is only for night weddings though, so i would call and find out- maybe they will bring the min down to around 100 for you:)

i think the cottage looks beautiful at night though because of all of the lights inside- so don't rule out that option! unless you really just want an afternoon wedding

Re: Milleridge cottage

I so had my heart set on that but definetly will not have more then 100 people. I am going to call them but that was the feel I wanted....the search is on...I didn't want like a hall feel to it since it is a second marriage.

talk down price a bit, especially since it is an afternoon wedding... see if you can guarantee 100 people at like $75pp- they might agree to that at the milleridge... it's worth a shot- the worst they say is no lol

Milleridge cottage

You have to tell them that you really love their venue, but you having been looking at other places and their prices are more competitive and you were wondering if they would be able to work with you based on this information.

Edit: Just saw your preferred wedding date, your quotes will be higher because summer is in season. I was quoted $80 for a Sunday, but it was in November, so a higher quote would make sense.

Stand firm on what you want, most places will come down a little in price.

I was trying to figure out out to change the date on here. We decided we were going to go with April or may now so I hear that is cheaper. We are definetly flexible with the date.

FYI we visited milleridge and when we were there the BM we spoke with informed us that their prices are the same, no matter the season. I was shocked, definitely ask them if it's still that way. If it is, you can have your wedding whenever you want :)

actually, with the milleridge, summer is low season and winter is high season because of the christmas decorations at the milleridge inn, cottage, and village area... prices are more likely to be offered lower for a may wedding over a december or november wedding, because those two months are the busiest of the year at the milleridge and they charge alot per person to have an event at the cottage at that time

so you are more likely to get some sort of a break in price, or even have them willing to cut certain items out at cocktail hour to save some $$, in the summer months. not really much wiggle room in the winter because there are alot of brides who want to get married there around the holidays
