hi everyone, i'm a little concerned about my reception. i'm totally in love with the milleridge cottage - the food is delicious and the interior is incredible - but i'm just so nervous that my guests are going to get lost in the room... we are inviting about 210... i have no idea how many to expect to show... i need opinions - at what point would you ladies who know the cottage recommend that we partition off the room? 150 guests? 175? we really want the whole room wide open to the bar area, but if it's going to look empty we'll prob close it off. thoughts?

Re: milleridge cottage... too few guests???
We invited 240, received 170 yes and had 160 at the wedding (I think).
It was a little empty, but my preference was always to have a spacious room rather than be jammed in to a smaller room. We kept the main bar area open.

I wouldn't worry about it being too spacious it just makes the dance floor bigger, honestly I would not worry about it.

Re: milleridge cottage... too few guests???
We are inviting 260 and I am nervous about being too crowded......... don't want to have everyone jammed in and lose the dance floor......
I think it will be perfect, don't worry!

thats the reason we didnt book it...i looved it there but we will maybe have 150 and i though we would look to empty...i would just talk 2 them..they must have had weddings with that many people..ask them how they set it up

Re: milleridge cottage... too few guests???
My minimum isnt high at all for the cottage, and i am not worried in the least about it being too spacious in there...If you have a smaller amount of guests it just means you can push the tables further away from the DJ booth and open up the dance floor more...I would rather be in a more open space than a cramped one...
