Milleridge Inn - the Inn itself
Hi all! I'm new to this forum, although I've been poking around it (a lot!) for the past few weeks. It has been incredibly helpful. My FH and I are looking into more historical type places, and we are going to have a small wedding (around 75) and are on a tight budget. We looked at Milleridge Inn - the Williamsburg room in the Inn itself. Most of the reviews on here are for the Cottage and Carriage House. Has anyone been to a wedding (or any other type of function) at the Inn itself?
Also, has anyone been to a party at the Maine Maid Inn?
Thanks!!!

The other place you might like is the George Washington manner in Roslyn

Re: Milleridge Inn - the Inn itself
We have had family functions in both the Milleridge and Maine Maid Inns. They are both very nice places. Neither of them was a wedding though so I can't offer you much ofa review. The food was good, but it was brunch food, not dinner food.

my parents were there for a wedding a month ago and they liked it!! They said it was really pretty & they had a lot of fun! Milleridge always does a nice job-no matter what part of it!!

Re: Milleridge Inn - the Inn itself
I used to work at the Inn ...Depending upon the time of year, there can be up to 12 events at one time... it doesn't effect the service you get once you're in the room- but it might be weird for guests b/c they have to go through the restaurant and sometimes the Maitre D's of the restaurants get confused as to who is where....
The Williamsberg room is the biggest room in the house- it looks very nice when it is set up and there is a fire in the fire place...
I personally think the best room in the house is the Garden room...it holds up to 75-80- it has a higher ceiling and is more bright than the wililamsberg room.

Re: Milleridge Inn - the Inn itself
I was going to look into it, but I didn't know if any of the the rooms were big enough & then I saw the Carriage House on the website & we booked there. We had 85 people.
We had out rehearsal dinner at the Maine Maid Inn. The food was very good.
ETA- how tight of budget are you on? I don't know prices at thr Inn, but the Carriage House may still be possible depending on the time of year & day of week (if you are interested in that at all.) We had a Saturday night in October & even that was reasonable.

Re: Milleridge Inn - the Inn itself
My wedding hasn't taken place yet, but I am very happy with the Milleridge so far. We are having 55, and we originally booked the Quaker room, and planned to have our ceremony in the Garden room. When we went to choose our menu a couple weeks ago, the banquet manager offered us the Garden room instead for our reception (you also get a patio, which is nice for summer), and we'll have our ceremony in the Philodendron room (I think this is the Williamsburg room actually). So it was nice to get bumped up to a nicer room, eventhough we will not hit the minimum for that room. Granted it was available, but still, I know some places wouldn't offer it.
The staff seem very easy to deal with and pleasant. I know one bride was not happy with her experience in the cottage, but most people seem happy with the place.
FM me if you have other questions.
