so i read alot abnout how people RSVPd yes and then dont show and how people loose money...
you know they will always feed yoru guests and charge you more, so why not under estimate the number you give the hall?
my min is 125 and i will tell them 125. i know if i have 130 they will ask me for more money...
am i the only one that thinks this would work?

Re: min question
but how would you know before people went into the reception room and they didn't have a table set up for them. Everyone would be standing around waiting... right?

Re: min question
That is what I was told to do by a few f my friends and fam that got married. I plan on paying for my min or how much ever ppl RSVP and if anyone extra comes I will pay for them after the wedding. I plan on speaking to BM to make sure that that is Possible at my hall.

Re: min question
if it werent a place where you had to have tables set up the way most RH's do it, then i would say do it... like if you were doing a cocktail hour reception, people arent necessarily sitting all at once so it would be easy to cover up a few extra people... but if you have to go around taking orders it would be impossible

Re: min question
in theory it could work. however, you would have to have a place card for them. i am going to venture a guess that when setting up the place cards the BM would count them to make sure there are events seats. that could be the issue.

i dont' know why, but I totally LOL'd at this.
you could always be SNEAKY about it...
give your RH a layout and have ppl missing from tables and simply say 'well so and so doesn't get along with so and so at this table so i had to move her here leaving that seat open' but say you'd like that seat open so you could sit there and socialize.
then have a member of your BP add the 'extra' place cards to the table after its set up...
