When I talked to my florist he said that some brides are opting to have their moms/grandmoms/readers carry small boks instead of traditional pinned or wrist coursages (sp?). What do you think of this idea. Not sure if I like this idea. I kinda wanted my MOH and I to be the only ones w/ BoKs, plus i dont think my mom would want to carry one around all night. What do you ladies think of this idea?

My options were wrist, purse, pin to dress, or tussy mussy (which I think is similar to a bo-k). I understand your point about only the BM's carrying bo-k's. What does your mom say?

my mom does not want a corsage... MOB MOG can get a nosegay which is a small bouquet they hold just for pictures not the whole night

I am getting our mom's nosegays and our grandma's corsages. I definetly did not want our mom's in corsages. I really think it takes away from their beautiful dresses. JMO!

Mom said she does not want any flowers at all. But i think she should have something. I dont think she should have a BoK since she is walking me down the aisle. I dont think I want everyone in my pics carrying a BoK/nosethingy??? either. Maybe we will just do wrist coursages? Too many decisions!

I am having the mini bouquets for the moms and corsages for the grandmas. I agree, the corsages can take away from the dress and the wrist corsage can be akward while they are shaking hands, hugging, dancing, etc.

my aunt was just telling me of the wedding she went to and the mothers had a few flowers tied together.. that it looked nice..

mom's are getting nosegays and grandmas corsages. the nosegays are very small. my mom hates corsages so it worked out well for her.

My florist suggested the same thing, so I asked my mom and she said no way! She absolutely does not want a mini bouquet. I'm just getting her a wrist corsage - that's what she wants.

my did not want a corsage either she carried a posey b0-k of black magic roses and burgundy mini calla lilys. i also had the fmil carry a posy of fire and ice roses. they both loved the idea and thought it was different.

my mom , grandma, and FI's mom are all going to carry a a few stems of tied flowers.
i think this look is very elegant. i asked my grandma (82) what she would perfer and she opted for the bo-k, she said that the corsage is too old fashion.

My mom and FMIL both want the little bouquets. I think they are cute. They are much smaller than the BM bo-k's. The grandmas will get coursages

My mom requested a small bouquet and I was fine with that. But once she decided on what she was wearing she changed her mind.

I'm going with mini-boks too. They didn't really want to pin anything to their dresses, and the wrist corsages tend to get in the way. My BM boks will be pretty full and the moms will only have a few stems.

I asked each mom what they would prefer.
My mom, really wants a small bouquet, so she can put it down and not have to worry about it at the reception
My step-mom & FMIL want wrist coursages.
I think it is preference. Some people hate flowers on their wrist all night and some people hate having flowers weighing down their clothes.

My mother told me she would KILL me if I gaver her a corsage or to pin OR wear on her wrist - she can't stand them and thinks they are appropriate for grandmothers only. I have to say I don't care for them either.
The mini bouquets can be nice - what about 2 large calla lillies - that they would drap over their arms rather than carry like a bouquet?

I'm carrying a BK for my daughters wedding but then having a wristlet of roses for the reception.
My gown is burgandy and white satin and she is having a autumn themed wedding, so I don't know what she has choosen for me. She wants to keep it a surprise. I'm so positive it will be beautiful.
