FH & I started our registry today. I gave him control of the scanner & I was shocked. He liked it more then I did & had some great ideas on things to register for. However, I dont think he will be itching to go back. He was good for like an hour & a half and was done! My mom and I are going back to BBB tomorrow since im off :) Its so much more fun then I expected

Congrats!! That was so exciting for us. My FH is the same and is way more excited about it than me. I check it often and he always adds things we totally don't need!!

yayy!! I'm not sure when I should start registering. I think right now it may be too early... but I also have friends that say I should register now for engagement gifts. Do people do that? I have a friend who got engaged NYE and registered like.. 3 days later for just her fine china in case someone wanted to get her that as an engagement gift.

i feel like it was a bit early. I didn't choose bedding or dishes for that reason in case it gets discontinued. Plus I figure I can always add/delete things as I go. I mainly did things that are essentials and shouldn't be going anywhere. (hopefully)

Registering was so much fun!!

I say register for at least some things now, because otherwise you end up with handmade knitted doilies in mustard yellow and vomit green (true story).

When my mom started telling her friends that we were engaged, a lot of them wanted to send something small just to say congratulations, so we registered for a lot of our smaller items (omelet pans, kitchen utensils, bathroom items, etc) so they wouldn't spend too much. then added more when we had our engagement party, bc apparently traditional etiquette dictates that actual presents should be given for e-parties. We actually got probably close to half of the stuff we registered for, and some gift cards we were able to buy other things with.

When it gets closer, and I know a shower is going to happen, I'll add more of our stuff to the registry.
