so i'm trying to convince FH that we should go back to vegas for a little vacation, just him and i, the week after our engagement party. we'd leave either the sunday or monday after and come back on friday or saturday. we'll both have time from work, and i've been looking things up online and it would be less than 2100 for both of us, hotel and flights included. but am i crazy? lol

if i could get him to go to disney world, i would die, lol. we need to go somewhere we dont need a car, because neither of us are 25 its super expensive to rent one.

Disney world is VERY Affordable. We went in October for $500pp. It didn't include the tickets though. But we are in the same boat, not 25 so renting a car is expensive. But all the hotels have shuttles to the parks so it worked out fine.

I would definatly go!!! Fh and I are going on 2 vacations over the summer...and have been able to save some money for the wedding...you need that vacay time! Its money well spent!

so far i've found vegas trips for about 700 each, which isnt bad at all. idk how he'd feel about disney, we'll need to discuss that also when he gets home.

if you can afford it, then I say definately go and enjoy yourself... Disney would be a nice affordable trip, maybe staying in one of the hotels outside of the park would be more affordable than staying in the park, and most of thsoe hotels have shuttles to the park anyway!!

we did the same thing -- we jokingly called it our 'engagement honeymoon' haha!
we spent a week in st martin in april (we got engaged in february).
it was really sweet & romantic. definitely take the trip!!!!!!!!!!
vegas is the bestttt!!
where are you thinking about staying? if you look on fat wallet you can get a lot of good sale prices for all the hotels in vegas pretty much.

ohhh cutee! when we got engaged we stood @ the venetian!!
honestly the hotel itself is gorgeous & we stood there free based on my casino play from our last trip -- but honestly i would NOT pay full price for that hotel.
we were very dissatisfied w. the service there. the first room we got a) had a horrible smell of rotting eggs on the whole floor (i was warned about this by ppl on trip advisor & then it happened to us) it was literally the grossest thing ive ever smelt in my life b) key never worked & was met by apathetic mgrs. when my fiance had planned for rose petals etc. after we got engaged as a surprise, we literally could not get in the room & were told to 'wait in line' c) had to literally argue like crazy to get a $50 credit that was promised by mgrs after the mix up -- it was insane for a hotel that reps itself as a 4 star hotel d) when moved to 2nd room (highest room category) although it was large, it was never renovated & quite dated looking!
i'd say stay @ the wynn for same $$ or stay in the augustus tower @ caesars -- i preferred both over venetian

lol, not at all saves me time. see the two times i went, we stayed in a house off the strip, which was great when we were there with a bunch of people and we rented cars to share, but because its just the two of us, we'd rather stay on the strip and not rent a car.

lol, i know he will, its just a money thing. he's like, well do you think its worth it to spend that, but he's not realizing that the last times we went, we stayed off the strip in a house, so it was completely different. we'll see. he'll be home in like two hours
