mini honeymoon? am i out of my mind?

so i'm trying to convince FH that we should go back to vegas for a little vacation, just him and i, the week after our engagement party. we'd leave either the sunday or monday after and come back on friday or saturday. we'll both have time from work, and i've been looking things up online and it would be less than 2100 for both of us, hotel and flights included. but am i crazy? lol

Go for it! I've always wanted to go to vegas. Anyway, you only live once so live with no regrets!! Who knows if in the future you'll have the time to get to vegas?

we did the same thing -- we jokingly called it our 'engagement honeymoon' haha!

we spent a week in st martin in april (we got engaged in february).

it was really sweet & romantic. definitely take the trip!!!!!!!!!!

vegas is the bestttt!!

where are you thinking about staying? if you look on fat wallet you can get a lot of good sale prices for all the hotels in vegas pretty much.

my FMIL used to have a condo in st martin

Oh that does suck Maybe you can go somewhere for a long weekend? You can go to Atlantic City (I know its not vegas....but its closer and you easily go for a weekend)

well now talking to him and explaining that i've found deals for as little as 1500 for both of us, he's rethinking it lol, cross your fingers everyone!

What about myrtle beach or something??? Also, think of nigara falls and montreal. They are both money saving places.

its not so much money as he's not sure if he can take a full week off because he just started in a new position this week. we'll see. i also explained to him that really, we could just use our stimulus checks and save money to cover the rest and whatever we want to bring to spend. i think he's going to give it some real thought, i hope he can work it out, itd be so great.

I'm all about the Disney trips lol. There's nothing wrong with doing something for just the two of you.!!!!!!!!!

I'd push the Disney idea.. but like i said.. we're fanatics! haha

Instead of taking a week off from work, what about a 4 day weekend, like Thurs-Sun. This way he doesn't feel bad at the new job.

Maybe 4th of July week???

you can always do a real mini weekend vacation to CT. If you want the casino thing, Mohegan Sun was nice. Mystic was right there which was awesome, the aquarium, vineyard, etc, etc. Plus you could take your car over on the ferry!

I honestly found I didn't even need any more time than the weekend when I went but it felt like i took a vacation haha
