Mini-moon ideas ?

Hi girls,

I set my wedding date for Sept 09 prior to me getting a job in a school district as a Social Worker. Being that we get off so much time, I really cannot take off for my honeymoon so I am planning a mini-moon. I think that I will be able to get three days...Since my wedding is on a Fri I am planning to take Thurs, Fri, and Mon off from work. I would like to take a weekend trip but am unsure where to go. I dont want to travel somewhere since we only have a short time so it would have to be on LI. Any ideas or past brides who have done this?? I was thinking maybe out east somewhere....

I just checked quickly...Norwegian Spirit has a one-night (one day/one night...sat afternoon- sun morning) cruise sailing out of NY on 9/20/09.

We are doing a mini-moon too because we don't want to travel far and wide with only spring break to do it in... we are thinking a Maine b&b...
