Mini vent...I hate football!!!

Hubby's glued to the TV right now watching his alma mater, University of Georgia in the Sugar Bowl...I can't stand football!!

Join the club! I hate football! My dad and FH were going absoluetly bonkers on saturday when the GIANTS won--they are HUGE GIANTS fans so my mom and I like to leave the house when a game is on! If they make it to the SUPERBOWL I am fleeing the country! HAHA

I am not a football fan, but I guess the PC is just as bad as football b/c he is stuck in front of it too. At least football season ends

Don't feel bad, our ot alone. I was stuck watching the Jets game the other day with my FH. UUGGHH!!

Tell me about it. John would watch football 24/7 if he could. He has been watching all day today. He has aready given me the 'schedule' for next weekend.
* I have to leave work eary Friday so I can make it home by 5:00 so we can sit in traffic but still make it upstate by 8:00 so he can watch Ohio State.
* He will ski on Sat but has to stop early because the Jets are on and he has to get ready to have the guys over.
* I think there was something else for Sunday but I had stopped listening.
I cant wait for the season to end.

Mine watches hockey too! Saturday it was the Giants game a little break and then into the islander game!

You ladies are signing my favorite song. Mine is not only an avid football watcher, he is a head coach at a local high school, so he lives and breathes football. All I can say is tomorrow is the end of the NCAA season and the NFL playoffs begin soon. I can't wait. The spring late winter/early spring months are the only peace that I get. They he starts getting readin for 'his' season

I love when John watches it, it keeps him in one spot and gives me time to do what i want or even to clean up without him walking on a floor i just mopped or whatever

FH watches football, basketball, baseball, golf (I mean come on, golf on TV, how boring)
When hes not watching that its ESPN, ESPN2, MSG. I tell you I HATE sports now thanks to him

Oh and don't forget, for those few seconds a day where there is not footbal/other sports event - Playstation 2 sports games My sister was here for NYE and when I got home from work she told me that when she and her boyfriend got back from lunch Keith was playing PS2 with Tony (friend and fellow head football coach). I hate football.. and My hubby is only a fan when it is cheap to stay home and watch it!!!!SO yoiu will all see me on LIW on Sat and Sun around 4pm.... oh and then when the football is over it is Hockey( Islanders!!) and Baseball season...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH thank g-d he does not like Basketball!!!!

My DH LOVES football, however at our house this is the rules that i set up.. he can watch the JETS on the big tv whenever they play, but the other games he has to go in the bedroom for ( i refuse to watch 12 hours of football)..this works well for us!!LOL

Now with the jets in the playoffs, its going to be a LONG LONG weekend!! LOL but i figure the jets havent won a superbowl since 1968 or something so ill let him have the weekend

also i am thinking of taking that jets camp thing next year.. for women.. its supposed to help us understand the game better, and i am clueless to football!!

I used to get mad, but now I embrace the moment. Sundays he is out of the house allllll day. I love it.

Dont even get me started on this topic! I hate football...my DH's obsession with it is what is at the heart of 90% of our fights. ugh! After 7 years, Im getting more adjusted but I still hate it.

It's funny, I have the OPPOSITE problem. I like football and FH doesn't. He is the first guy I have dated that doesn't like it I used to be a HUGE Green Bay fan and when we started dating I basically stopped watching (until this year) I told him MUST watch the playoffs with me but I usually have to explain the details (he knows the basics)

I do feel for you girls with the fanatic FH/DH sports fans though, I remember there were many a ruined days due to sports (with ex's)

As they say, misery loves company...thanks ladies! But, I guess I don't have it nearly as bad as most of you - my DH doesn't really follow any of the pro teams too closely, so I suppose I shouldn't begrudge him ONE game once in awhile...how often are Georgia teams telecast in NY, right??

I don't care for it either but it isn't an argument we have to have, it is useless to argue over it. Gary watches every sport, I enjoy the teams he likes but football is toooo long and boring for me. I like to watch baseball and hockey with him. I don't think their obsessions with sports will go away girls, we will all just have to deal!!!!
