Anyone have a suggestion for a minimoon location? I don't get much vacation time, so I'm going to be waiting until 2009 for the real honeymoon. We're looking for somewhere between NY (where the wedding will be) and NC (where we live).
We're thinking about Adirondacks, Catskills, Poconos...but we're really not sure.
We want someplace pretty remote where we can go hiking and just RELAX for 3 nights...preferably someplace with a jacuzzi!

how about the Boulders in Connecticut?? its on Lake Waramaug. I love it there.THE BOULDERS INN

We go up to the Lake George area and love it we star in Bolton Landing, check out the Sagamore it's so nice!

I drove from New York to Houston. The Cumberland region of Maryland is beautiful, as is Kentucky and the Shennadoah valley of Virginia (I'm sure I slaughtered the spelling of that). Don't know of any particular hotels, but I'm sure that are tons at a reasonable price.

Just for clarification: we live in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area of NC...so too far West is out of the question. We're going to be driving the day after the wedding, so we don't want it to be TOO far!

Ceasars is nice..my sister went there on her honeymoon and has been back a couple times since..and its very reasonable price wise
