Minimum under 125?!
I have been looking for venue that will accommodate my small wedding. My fiancé has a very small family his mom basically has no family on her side and his father side is small. I doubt I'll be able to even get 100 guaranteed. Maybe 80 but it seems everywhere I look the minimum is 125. My fiancé would like it to take place by/on the water. Anyone know of a venue that's willing to take on a small wedding? Thanks in advance.

Captain Bills in Bayshore would fit the bill! I am getting married there. We are having a wedding of 85 people, using the harborview & waterview rooms. If you have 75 people, just the harborview room would be sufficient.

The View, Irish Coffee Pub, Lombardi's on the bay may as well. FBIL got married at sunset harbor and maybe had 75 people at the wedding

Look at more restaurants rather than catering halls. A lot of restaurants have private rooms that can accommodate up to 80 or so people.

My engagement party (about 100 ppl) was on the Lauren Kristy. It's a really cool paddle boat that goes out of the bayshore marina

Maybe crescent beach club? If you're willing to come away from the water, I know The Watermill has a smaller room with a very low minimum.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I'm looking into all options. Restaurant idea is a little bit more small then I was thinking, and I need a place I can get married at as well. Keep them coming! I have time to figure it out wedding is slated for 2017.

i was in the same boat as you, since we wanted a friday or saturday night only our options were limited. The best we could do was fox hollow winter garden (110 minimum).

I'm about to book the riviera this sunday! i am super excited too.. i had a bunch of venues that i had picked out but i just kept going back to the riviera. we had a tasting last week and thats what sold us on the place. i also didnt want your typical ' venue ' every place pretty much all look the same. i love how rustic it looks. and i love the cocktail hour outside viewing the water. pictures don't show you any justice till you see the place yourself. happy hunting.if you want my quotes ill be more than happy to share...

Try Crestwood Manor in Northport.. it's not on the water but may have a lower minimum because it's smaller. Also, look into Yacht Clubs that don't necessarily always do weddings but rent the space out for events. I know someone who just threw a beautiful first birthday party for her triplets at The Northport Yacht Club and it looked a lot fancier than a first birthday party lol

I second Crestwood Manor! The upstairs is beautiful, especially the bar area. They were my second choice for a venue. The main room downstairs really wasn't my style so the manager there said I could have the entire reception upstairs/outside with 75 people. (I am sure they could even go lower)

Timber Point is having us guarantee 90 but that may be negotiable if you do day time or off season.

Three Village Inn is small, but I don't know their minimum.Chateau La Mer has an upstairs room that when I had my sweet sixteen had to guarantee 70 minimum. That was a while ago and it's under new owners now so I don't know what has changed. I worked there 1 dinner and the view from upstairs at night is so pretty.
I think Lessing's had some smaller venues on the south shore too but I don't remember their names

I love the the three village inn! I haven't been there for a wedding, just a buffet style event. But it's so quaint and adorable. It was on our list to look at but it was way too small for our party. The lessings have a few properties, all very cute
