How did your appointment go? Fountainhead is also in New Rochelle - very close to Glen Island. Both can hold more than 200 people so you will be fine. I live in Western Nassua Count (Manhasset Hills) and it is a 25-30 minute ride to New Rochelle without traffice. Many places on LI were further than that for me! Anyway, I just really liked the feel of both Glen Island and Fountainhead. Let me know what you decided. Good luck!

MISSMMPR - Glen Island, etc.

Hey Jen, I went to Glen Island and Fountainhead on Sunday. I liked the Glen Island club better, but i only like the downstairs part of it. For that room we have to quarantee 200 people and we only want to have to guarantee 175 because we think we will have right around 200 if not less. I don't know if it is worth the ride. I like Lands End in Sayville also. The man at Fountainhead was rude to me so he blew that idea! Did you book any of those i don't remember. I think you liked Fountainhead.

WHo did you speak with at the Fountainhead? I am getting married there on June 8, 2002 and want to make sure my banquet manager wasn't the rude one. Good luck with your decision!

I spoke with Andy. Everytime I asked him a question, he would say,' Well John....' He never spoke to me only my fiance. He never looked at me or said anything my way. It was like I wasn't even there!He would say,' John the bathrooms are over here..' or Yes John we have three bars' That annoyed me!

I am not sure what kind of atmosphere you are looking for or your price range. It is on the water and is right over the Throggs Neck Bridge.
