MOB in black?

we found a great dress, but is black appropriate? and what should the MOG wear?

I don't find anything wrong with it, but I asked my mother and MIL not to wear black because I wanted them to stand out. I figured there would be plenty of guests wearing black dresses (which there were) that I wanted them to stand out from the crowd.

This but I figure if we find the perfect dress and it has to be black then we'll get it. At the end of the day, I went them to feel beautiful.

My mom thought of wearing black but because our wedding is in the summer we thought black wasn't the best color and like some girls are saying...I want her to stand out since black is a popular color and many guests may show up in the color
