My mom is insisting that she and my FMIL are supposed to match the bridesmaids, I say that people should wear whatever color they want and what looks good on them, or if they want to match they should wear a coordinating color but not the same. Thoughts?
i say wear whatever color they want. My FMIL wanted to be considerate and make sure she didn't clash with the BMs but that didn't bother me at all. It's not like there's going to be tons (or if any) of pictures with the mothers and BM's IMO
Exactly. There might be a couple, since one of my BMs is my cousin, but she would just look like someone wearing a dress, since there wouldn't be other BMs in my family pictures.
My mom really wanted to be part of our 'color scheme' but FMIL didn't really care, so I told them both just to buy whatever they wanted. My mom ended up finding a nice dress that is similar in color to the BMs but FMIL is probably wearing a color totally outside of our scheme. I think its fine either way, as long as everyone is comfortable and looks good!
I think they should definitley complement one another but not match...it takes away from the moms, they should stand out!!

My MOH is wearing kelly green. My mom is wearing watermelon. FMIL is wearing like a greenish blue. They all look good together, but in no way are they matching!
my mom doesnt care really but she doesnt want t clash she will prob be in black same color as BMs
