How much did the mothers spend on their dresses? Neither of the moms can find a dress less than $600 I think that's crazy is it just me?

My mom spent $150 on a gown form Lord and Taylor. Have them try that or Nordstom Rack. My mom got her other gowns for my sister's weddings at Nordstom Rack and never spent more than $200.

I agree. Nordstrom rack has beautiful gowns for much cheaper than $600.

Definitely try department stores. Nordstrom's, lord and taylor, Macy's, JC Penny even had some nice evening gowns last time I was there.

Thank you ladies! We had an appointment with Fantasia Bridal last night for FG dresses but FG's mom cancelled last minute so I went with my mom and found a gorgeous dress.... $1,050! So we left LOL my mom wants to buy her dress online from China which makes me very nervous but she found this same dress from a website she has ordered from in the past and has been happy with and it was only $135 but idk I'm still nervous about it.. I will probably take MOG to the places you mentioned. Thank you ladies!

My FMIL ordered a dress on Macys.com. I think she spent less than $150. She didn't get it yet, so she's not sure how it fits, but there are definitely nice options at department stores to get something cheaper.

My mom and fmil are having such a hard time finding a dress they like at a reasonable price as well. We tried Davids bridal last night, there wasn't a huge selection and most were pretty plain, just not exactly what they are looking for. We also tried Macys, Nordstrom, and Village Bridal and nothing. They did somewhat like some at Estelle's though and we will probably be making another trip there. Try there if you haven't already. And if anyone has some other ideas I'd love to hear!

yeah we tried Estelle's too but there wasn't anything there they liked. David's Bridal is my enemy now I do NOT like them. I go to the one in Lake Grove because it is the closest and they were so inattentive the 3 times I've been there. Both moms are plus size so there wasn't much available at either store for them. Idk what we are going to do next for MOG but my mom is buying her dress online from DHgate.
