My MOH (sister) doesn't like the color I'm having her wear for the wedding, so she told my mom she'd wear the dress for the ceremony pictures and some of the cocktail hour and take it off (and put another dress) on during the reception. and my mom said YES!!! I was thinking about this for the past few days (it wasn't definite till about a week ago) and I feel strongly that I want her to keep the dress on. Just told my mom that and she said 'too late, she already bought another dress?' IT'S MY WEDDING!! I don't know what to do... I really feel like crying!

That is definitely rude! She needs to deal! If she didnt like the MOH dress you (or she) picked out then she should have said something then! You tell HER it's too late now! Sheesh! I'm sorry she's doing that to you.

Re: MOH changing outfits?
wow, as your MOH, she should suck it up and just wear what you want her to wear... Its never to late, she can wear the other dress she bought to some other function. I can't believe they are so rude!

Re: MOH changing outfits?
I didnt care that my sister changed out of her dress but if you dont want it to happen then they should take your feelings into consideration. For Gods Sake its ONE day and its your day. It isnt about her.

IT IS NOT TOO LATE! Tell her to return the dress!!!! OMG...That would piss me off too...explain to both of them in a nice way that you really want her to wear the dress the ENTIRE time and you don't think it would kill her to do what you want for your day.

Re: MOH changing outfits?
i have to be the devil's advocate...you said, the color you are having her wear...did you let her participate as moh in the decision? bc i think the matron/maid of honor should have some say there...i let my matron & maid pick the dress for all the girls alone & i selected the color with them only bc i am more familiar with the color scheme...but made sure they liked before ordering...

she should suck it up.... Its not all about her. Why does she have to make things difficult. Don't need the drama, just wear the one dress!

Re: MOH changing outfits?
People will look at her funny....don't worry about it. Just be careful when she gets married.....sounds like you have a die hard control freak on your hands.....I vote for loving her anyway...despite her OCD nature!!! You are right...but please don't let it drag you down...

Re: MOH changing outfits?
That *****. Talk to her if you can. I hate that others are telling people waht is right or wrong for your wedding. IT is your decision!
If she is a pain in the B*tt then just tell her then I guess the pictures of you will only be before when you are in the dress.
Or better yet, use guilt & say you had worked so hard to pick something for her & get a whole look going & you loved this color & that is why you choose it & she really hurt your feelings changing it & you can't believe she went to your mom instead of you knowing how much this meant to you. .. or something like that.. but lay it on thick. let her feel like a badddd MOH

Also...maybe your pictures will be immediately following the cake cutting ceremony. She can change after that....

Re: MOH changing outfits?
I would be upset if my sister changed outfits...she is the only one that doesn't like the color or the dress! But....that is my annoying sister.....
Tell her that is makes you upset...

Re: MOH changing outfits?
I would be pissed off at my sister if she pulled that crap. It is one day and she should suck it up for you! Hide her dress so she can't find it the day of
