My MOH (sister) doesn't like the color I'm having her wear for the wedding, so she told my mom she'd wear the dress for the ceremony pictures and some of the cocktail hour and take it off (and put another dress) on during the reception. and my mom said YES!!! I was thinking about this for the past few days (it wasn't definite till about a week ago) and I feel strongly that I want her to keep the dress on. Just told my mom that and she said 'too late, she already bought another dress?' IT'S MY WEDDING!! I don't know what to do... I really feel like crying!

I would talk to your sis about it, and tell her how you feel...

my mind is made up???
I would be so furious!!
I think you definitely have to tell her that pictures will be taken all night long... and you want her to wear the dress all night.

Re: MOH changing outfits?
are you kidding me? the dress is part of being in a wedding party. when she said 'yes' to be your MOH, that yes included the dress!! i HATED the color my SIL picked when i was her BM...but i would never have objected to wearing it...i even told her i liked it b/c i knew it made her happy.
it's your wedding and you're spending a lot of time and money to make things the way you want them...she can wear a dress she doesn't love for ONE night.

Already did. She's a lost cause, but she knows how I feel. Let's hope she makes the right decision. Thanks for backing me up girls!

Re: MOH changing outfits?
That's absolutely ridiculous.
That said, just offer to bring her 2nd dress - or have someone else offer - and conveniently 'forget' to bring it that day!

Re: MOH changing outfits?
sounds ridiculous, but dont get yourself stressed about it... in the grand scheme of things it will be so unimportant. As long as she will be wearing it for pictures and the church, that is really all that matters. I understand you are upset about it, but you are so close to your day, just keep the peace. But i do still think your sister has balls to do this!

Re: MOH changing outfits?
I could totally see my sisters doing this to me.....And I'm sure as you know sisters are....She will need a few days to cool off....She can return the dress or wear it some other time...Tell your Mom how you feel and what you really want and what you are really expecting....Talk to your sister and tell her that you would remember this forever as a fight with your sister...Please be in the Wedding that I have pictured forever?!? I always imagined you in this color....etc.....Try - Even when you feel like there is no point with your sister...Just Try!!! Good Luck!

Re: MOH changing outfits?
That's so weird! It's your wedding - she should be able to handle wearing a dress that you want her to wear for just one day!

Re: MOH changing outfits?
I'm not sure if I missed it, but is she already married? I would love to see how she would feel if the tables were turned? She probably wouldn't like it! I never heard of such a thing.
