I hear alot of girls mention the MOH duties. I'm just wondering...what are they?? My sister didnt have me do anything at the wedding...other than fix her train at the church. And I dont really have any expectations of her...just that she show up.
So, I'm just curious what the actual duties are! :)

I haven't given my sister any duties lol maybe because she's my sister? i don't know I just don't like dictating...she has mentioned to me 'omg i am MOH I have to plan your shower, bachelorette, and help you on your wedding day) she's really a sweetheart and I trust she will do as much as she can!

help plan the shower coordinate and plan the bachelorette party tend to your every need at the wedding hold you bok when needed be the go to person for the matre'd to ask silly questions to help you in the bathroom and fix your veil/dress help you stuff invites and do favors attend all your dress fittings and MOST IMPORANTLY....keep the other BMs in line!
although not everyone has this luck sometimes unfortunately

i would love for her to do all that stuff, but i know she wont, whatev i love her anyway... but i always think that bringing one of those emergency bag filled with all sorts of last minute goodies should be part of MOH duties

I am only having mine do the shower and B-party nothing at the weddiing because I got a DOC so they would not have to worry about anything and enjoy themselves

Mine did a bunch of things...
Plan shower (split the cost with mom's and bm's) plan Bachelorette Party slept at hotel with me night before wedding Did last mintute errands day before wedding Picked up my invites when they came in Went to almost all my dress fittings Tried dresses on 3 times for herself and BMs
But most of all she was supportive and a sounding board.

I am not asking much of my sister either. She lives in MD so she is very involved I talk to her everyday, and I have given her all of my BM's contact info. I am sure she will help with the shower, and bach. party. But the day of after the church, We will have Bridal Attendants. To do all those things. I want her to just have fun and be a guest. Although I am sure I will need her help when I have to go potty.... So other than that. I just want her to have fun.

my sister is my moh and she is there to help me with whatever i need, so far she is planning an outrageous bachelorette party, the shower, and has helped me register

i agree with all the above. but you forgot some important things, sign as witness to the marriage & eventually be your first borns godmother.
my sister is my MOH & she also set up all appointments to see RH's. she will be coming with FH & I to register as well.

my sister is my moh....she will be helping plan the shower and bachelorette party, sleeping in the hotel with me the night before, giving a speech...and just little things the day of like fixing my train etc...other than that i don't have any official duties for her to do.
