MOH has anyone had 2?
Just trying to figure out my wedding party and I'm having a lot of pressure from my family to put in my cousin for my moh but I would like my friend-- has anyone done 2? Is it insulting to have 2 or still an honor? I just can't seem to choose between them...

Re: MOH has anyone had 2?
I will be having 2 (both my sisters) and both my sisters had 2 (me and the other sister) and my friend had 2 also (her two closest childhood friends). It is definitely not insulting and to be honest it also helps take the pressure off of one person to plan to certain things. It is definitely ok to have 2, if that is what you want.

MOH has anyone had 2?
I am having both of my sisters (matron and maid of honor), and my oldest sister had both of us as maids of honor when she got married. I'm also a maid of honor for a friend and sharing w another of her friends. It's totally not an insult! It's wonderful to even be though of as MOH regardless of you are sharing. Plus I agree that it takes the pressure off of you financially and otherwise. It does sound like part of your issue is not just whether you should have 2 MOHs, but whether you have to cave to family pressure. You're going to get a lot of opinions throughout this process so I would start considering which things are non-negotiables and which you're willing to comprise on otherwise you'll be stuck planning someone else's dream wedding!

I am only having 2. My Maid of Honor and my Matron of Honor. However at the end of the day,its your decision and you should decide who you wish to stand by you on your day. There will be times when you have to be stern and put your foot down and that is ok.

Like everything else with wedding stuff, it's your wedding and you can do what you want because there is no rule book! I think having two MOHs is great. I don't have bridesmaids or groomsmen but we have 3 flower girls and 1 ring bearer.

There's nothing wrong with having two MOH's. However, it does seem that the problem for you is more - whether or not to cave to pressure of your family to make your cousin one of them.Your wedding is yours, and they need to understand that. If you want her to be a MOH, then make her one. If you don't - there's nothing wrong with her just being a BM. It's still an honor.

I will be having two (my sisters) and they both had the two of us be co-MOH and honestly, it was great! it made it less pressure on either one of us and we both got to feel special too. I say don't worry about it so much!

I am also having 2- my cousin and my best friend. They are both like best friends and I couldn't chose. My cousin will be my Matron of honor and my friend the Maid of honor. They are both married but I figured my cousin is family so that warranted the matron title. They will each walk down the aisle alone and walking back and into the reception they will both walk with the best man-a girl on each arm. They will each do a speech as well.

Just make sure both people are on the same page - I was a co-MOH and while I felt a bit slighted at first, that was the least of my problems. When discussing budget, bachelorette, shower, etc it felt like we were in two completely different worlds, especially regarding budget - although we had known each other through the bride for years we weren't really friends. Definitely alot easier when the two people are friendly and have the same expectations.
