MOM AND DAD

i dont call my FMIL and FFIL 'mom and dad'.. I do not know if I will ever really be able too..

i dont even know if they expect it.. I guess we will just have to see how things go.

i think it would hurt my parents' feelings if i called someone else mom and day - i mean, they are my parents

FH calls his father pa or papi so that would be ok because i dont call my father that, but i could never call them the same thing

I'm not sure I could ever call his mom MOM...
I think it's be a little weird for me.
BUT my friend who is getting married...Her FH parents sat her down and told them they would be ok with her calling them that. She felt SUPER weird at first and now that's all she calls them by!

It is definately kinda strange......every once in a blue moon I will call them mom or dad when I am around them...I think it sound funny. However when FH and I talk about his parents I refer to them as mom and dad more often...but of course they aren't around.

I don't think I'll be calling them mom and dad. My FBILs just call them Mr and Mrs, so if I'm taking a cue from them, then I'll just follow suit. But there aren't too many instances when I have to address them as anything - if I'm at their house, I say hi, if I call the house, I ask for Mr or Mrs... which is also slightly awkward, but hey, until they tell me something different, that's what I'll stick with!

My mom wants FH to call her mom. She's super sappy
