Mom brought him to the vet. RIP Shadow

For those of you who were here last year, you may remember that one of my family cats had to be put down. Well, the time following that was difficult for the surviving cat, Shadow. He lost his buddy and I got married and moved out. Over the past few months, Shadow has lost a lot of weight and really slowed down. The past few days have had him hiding under my parents' bed or last night he was in his litterbox.

My mom is on the way to the vet now, since they are closed tomorrow and she doesn't think he can make it to Friday.

I am truly feeling like crap right now. Between my job loss and Grandma dying in March and now Shadow going, I am ready to jump off a cliff.

Thanks ladies. I went to have dinner with my parents tonight (as I usually do on nights when DH has class) and it was so quiet there. Even though Shadow wasn't a loud cat, he was very interactive and he always liked to be around people.

I will misss him. He was a very docile cat. So agreeable and gentle.
