have any of your mom's said they wanted to walk you down the aisle along with your dad?
my mom's whole thing is, she doesnt just want to sit there, after all she raised me too!!!
I thought she would just want to sit and watch, but i guess not.

my parents are divorced and hate each other...but both my step-dad and my dad are walking me down the aisle...that's the only way i would have it...

My parents are divorced too. My father was offended that I wanted my Mom up there only because it's tradition for just the Dad. SO I had the idea that when I got to the altar, she could stand up and kiss me after he raises my blusher and kisses me. That way she would feel involved. Also, when the priest asks who gives this woman.....Dad says 'her mother and I do'. HTH!
I am going to do the same thing...have my mother stand at the alter and when I get there she will give me away with my dad.

Both my parents walked me down the aisle.
And when DH's sister got married, he and his mother walked her down the aisle in lieu of his father who passed away eight years ago.

I told my Mom that she's being walked down by one of her sons who is an usher and that seemed to suffice for her. I'm not taking the moment away from my Dad.

I asked both of my parents to walk me down the aisle. I felt that it was only appropriate because without both of them I wouldn't be here today.

Both my parents will walk me down the aisle. This is something we discussed way before I was even engaged. Both of my parents had both of their parents walk them down and they want to do the same for me. Besides, my mom is my best friend... I need her there.

My mom said the exact same thing. She raised me and she should give me away too. So, I am being given away by both of my parents.
