For my bday a few years ago FH planned a weekend trip to Montauk but I didnt know where we were going I just knew I had to be ready at a certain time and pack a bag with bathing suits. When we got there he rented a really nice room with a balcony that we could just walk onto the beach.. it was really really sweet.

The way he proposed to me at the top of the empire state building was probably the most romantic thing he's done.

My FH is not the super romantic type. So when he does lil gestures like suprise romantic dinners or brings me flowers or just cooks for me for no reason. that to me is romantic.

2 yrs ago on Valentine's Day FH told me he booked a hotel room for the night ( we weren't living together yet or engaged yet). When I got there he had me walk in first....
He had a rose set up on the bed and in the kitchen area he had all my favorite snacks & candies set up on the counter. The table had a bottle of wine on it & he got me a happy birthday balloon too (my birthday is 2 days after Valentine's Day) He made me cry bc I couldn't believe how a guy actual thought of all the things I liked and bought them for me!
We joke & say that is when we both knew we were meant for each other & that we were going to get married. I never had a guy do something like that for me!

The most romantic thing FH did was on the night he proposed to me. He booked the most expensive room at the pocono palace in PA. It had a champagne glass as a jacuzzi, a pool a sauna, two floors, Fireplace...basically it was amazing. That night he lit a fire and put on our favorite song and asked if I wanted to dance...in the middle of the song he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!!

My proposal is hands down the most romantic thing he's done but since I've told that story before, I'll go with last Valentines Day.
He bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and I expected us to go to dinner but I wasn't sure what to expect. He took me up to Seattle and we walked around the city, went into a kitchen shop and bought some stuff for the house and then as we were walking donw the street he suddenly pulled me into this storefront which turned out to be a dinner/theatre type place.
I love old Sinatra style music, and it was a theatre with a 5 course dinner, wine champage, dessert and a big band with a Sinatra singer (not impersonator) and other various singing acts. It was amazing, and I was SO surprised.
He then took me home and I saw he had set up the fireplace for a fire, had a blanket set up on the floor, a bottle of wine decanting on the table and wired jazz music into the den speakers so we were able to unwind after dinner.
All total surprises! So this year he sent me a 'certificate' for another night just like that for when I get back home, love him!

Im going to say our proposal :) He planned the WHOLE weekend with things I love Montauk (I LOVE the beach), most expensive hotel with jacuzzi and kichen, cooked me breakfast that day, made me drinks, long walks, boardwalk, we were suppose to habve dinner on the beach but it rained so we did it right by the window overlooking the water, brought dinner in, candles and flowers all over, shopping..bought me a picture from to put our proposal pics in :)
It was a complete surprise..and the most ive ever been shocked!

I am going to have to say my perposal because he is not super romantic and even hates valetnies day but it was the most romantic thing ever because we went the the zoo and we both love animals and it was just him and me and i thought it was never going to happen because he so shy and not into big statemtns. So itmeant a lot to me that he proposed and it was the sweetiest thing ever.

When we were 16... FH and I got in a REALLY big fight! MAJOR argument. Like, I was ready to just dump him (as any 16 year old would do). Well, the day after our arguement we were supposed to go to the city with friends, which he was no longer invited to. So, I spent the whole rainy day in the city and had my fun.
When we got off the LIRR to go home, he was waiting at the train station with a dozen long stem roses, candles spelling LOVE, and a card asking to just start over.
He spent the entire rainy day out in the rain walking around town to find everything and just walking around sulking. The poor thing got sick like the next week, but everyone called him THE MAN after that.

One of the most romantic things FH has ever done for me was record himself on my camera the day before I left to work over seas for 6 months... he talked about how much he would miss me and how much he loves me... he got teary eyed toward the end and I watched it almost every night before i went to bed! I love him so much

Well, it may not be the typical romantic gesture, but a year ago I became very sick and was hospitalized for a week. It was a very scary and uncertain time. My FH is terrified of hospitals and avoids them at all cost. Knowing his feelings I did not expect to see much of him while I was hospitalized. Well, FH stayed at my bedside the entire time, he handled the drs, my family and my sanity. It was during that time that I knew he would stand by me no matter what and that he was the man that I would marry.
