What do you think a photographer would say if we only wanted the proofs, no albums, or thank you's etc. we can get all of that done a little after the wedding.. do you think it would make a big difference in price.. I was going to ask duet, but i feel dumb.. We're thinking that with any monetary gifts we get at the wedding that can pay for our albums, and things.. It takes people so long anyway, to get all the proofs together for the album.. I don't even know if i'm making sense.. jsut wondering if it would save money.. any input would be great..

Sometimes photographers do payments...1/3 when you book...1/3 at the wedding and 1/3 when you pick up proofs. The last 1/3 is after your wedding so you can use some wedding money. Maybe that will work for you.
Thats what I was thinking... I have a photo/video/flower package. $3700 and we owe 80% 1month prior to the wedding and the last 20% only AFTER (or when) we get our proofs. This really is a big load off to know that isnt due before Oct.
To me it seems EVERYTHING is really due by September!

This is exactly what I am doing with 12th Nite. Money is tight for us too and we are going to have to use the wedding gift money to pay for our albums.

I went with silver fox. we are getting albums but you don't have to.
They will give you proofs & negs for the color shots & if you get a B&W photographer, its all digital & they will give you the cd, as well as printed proofs.
FM me if you need prices.
What's your price range?

I'm sure you can do that.
Just so you know: My photographer I paid a down payment when I booked. the major bulk the day of my wedding and the rest was when I picked up my proofs.
I think most photographers do it that way. If that helps you!
