Monograms

A lot of you have made some seriously beautiful monograms on here!!! Howd you do it??? I want to make one but am oh so clueless!

I've been using PowerPoint actually to make a few of them ..this is my latest one.
I teach computers (ages 6 and up) and I might do this with them to see what they can come up with on their own for their names.

There was a thread on how to make them I'll find it and post it for you. I know it's kinda recent.

i make all mine on powerpoint..

i find it to be the easiet program to use...

yes me too.. did all mine on PowerPoint although I might try using Print Master to see what results I get.

you should have the option to 'add a text box'...

when you do make a new text box for each word..

like
1 for your name
1 for FH's name
1 for the first letter of your future last name
1 for the date..

or anything else you want.. then change the font/size/color.. then you can move them on top of eachother to make them overlap...

i copied the instructions megan typed up.. hers are more specific than mine because i dont have powerpoint open.

'go into power point

1. blank page
2. click on 'insert' and then choose 'text box'
3. click anywhere on the page and type the Last initial choose the color and size you want
4. Then do the same thing insert text box and type your name and Fh name choose color and size
5. after complete with text boxes press and hold 'shift' while clicking on each text box make sure all are high lighted ... then right click outside of those text boxes there will be an option for 'grouping' choose group all then it will make all the layers one and it should all move as a unit!

How do you add another box? This is the first time ive ever opened powerpoint

i dont have powerpoint on this computer (FH's)...

but is there an insert or add option at the top of the screen like alone the 'file/edit' toolbar...?

should be something like that .. then find 'text box'

i wish i could be more specific, but its hard when I cant actually see the screen.
