More bad news at the doctor!

I went to the doctor today that diagnosed me with the psuedotumor cerebri and he told me it hasnt gotten any better and i need to stat loosing weight quickly or i will need surgery and they will have to put a shunt in my head

I really cant believe this is all happening!

Suzanne, you CAN and WILL get throught this!! My best friend had a malignant brain tumor removed after giving birth to her second child...this was 3 weeks before my wedding!!!! She is now on an organic almost macro-biotic diet and has lost over 45 lbs and is cancer free after two scans! The mind is so powerful in these matters! I am sending you big hugs and prayers your way!

Has the doctor given you a diet to follow, and also look into insurance covering any type of diet or excercise regimine, since the doctor says it is a medical necessity. And good luck, I am also suffering from a weight problem, and I have found that WW really helps, in making a lifestyle change, and how you feel about food.

By any chance have you gone for a second opinon? Sometimes another doctor will have a different way of curing you. Just talk to someone else if you havent already!!

Oh Suzanne I am sorry to hear this. Please try to stay positive - its something that can be fixed. I would also be happy to walk/ride with you. Im in Wantagh. Maybe we can set up a group walk at one of the parks or school tracks.
