More support...and wish me luck

Original post by Rob-luvs-me

My mom had breast cancer when I was very young. Because of her young age they wanted me to start screening with mamagrams and sonograms. Well I went for my first one today and they found a mass and they did a biopsy. I won't know the results until Tuesday. I think that if yesterday my uncle hadn't died of cancer I don't think I would be so upset about this. I'm sure it will come back negative - but at a time in my life where everything should be happy I am instead terrified of what might happen
Thank you girls for being so supportive and caring I just wish FH was here right now and not in Michigan

HUGS HUGS HUGS

Lots of prayers going out for you-I Know how you feel-My grandma survived breast cancer twice--Fh has been undergoing a lot of tests recently too(for his kidneys) and waiting for the results can be the worst part--just occupy yourself with happy thoughts and get your mind off of it! I'm sure you are fine!!

I'll be praying for you and I hope that things will be just fine!

My mom had breast cancer twice in her 40's. She had it on one side and then it came back a few years later on the other! So, I know how scared you may be. I need to get tested soon too, but she was a bit older than I am now ... my doctor isn't to worried right now. I should give myself more breast exams than I really do too!

More hugs for you ... !

Re: More support...and wish me luck

Part of the reason I'm concerned is that my mom had it at 31 and I'm 27! She had it twice and needed a mastectomy. I don't think I would be as concerned if I didn't know so many people recently who have diagnosed. I know it is probably nothing but it still worries me
