Is anyone planning on having a breakfast or brunch the morning after?? My mom thinks this is what everyone does and is planning one at the hotel for the OOT guests, but I never heard of this!! Is anyone else having this?

Re: morning after
our hotel offers free breakfast to all those who books rooms with them. I think we are only going to do that so we can see our OOT guests a little bit more.

Re: morning after
I'm not having one because my wedding is on Sunday but both my brother and sister did have one the morning after.
Especially if you have a lot of out of town guests.

Re: morning after
A friend of mine did this, but the bride and groom were not there, and most people didn't make it, as far as I could tell, because we were bushed from the wedding the night before, and planning to check out, pack up, leave, etc. I think it's unnecessary to plan another event people feel obligated to attend, and not worth the money. Your Mom could plan a small one for those she thinks would want to come and share that by word of mouth. For instance, I'm sure that there will be a group that gets together the next day for a quiet breakfast or brunch, but alot of people will be 'sleeping it off.'

Re: morning after
My friends did this after their wedding and it was nice bc they had a lot of family staying at the hotel.
For our wedding I think it will mostly be our friends staying there who will want to continue the party, so I'm sure they'd rather sleep later than have to get up early for breakfast!

Re: morning after
A lot of people do this. My wedding is on a Sunday and we are actually leaving for our honeymoon that night. So, we are going to invite our bridal party over for a brunch when we get back.

Re: morning after
We did and it was great--it was from 9-11 the next day, and at the hotel. Check out was at 12. We got to see all our friends and many of DH's family members (who were OOT), and hang out more It was really nice to get to see people even more!

Re: morning after
Thanks everyone! I guess I was mainly concerned bc most of the people staying in the hotel are my mom's friends (she lives in Florida) and only a few family members and my MOH. She is pretty set on having the breakfast, so I guess we are having it!! I would rather sleep in with my hubby!!

Re: morning after
I know my mom will definitely want to have it (we haven't discussed it yet). However, FH feels it's unnecessary and would rather sleep in. Our wedding is on a Sunday also but, we do have OOT guests staying over. Is it rude not to offer it?

Re: morning after
Yes we had it. The hotel provided it for the OOT guests and I also had a private one for family in a seperate location.

Re: morning after
We are not having one but than we are staying in a hotel that is separate from our guests.
We might have a late afternoon luncheon at my parent's house the day after instead.

Re: morning after
My parents and DH's parents hosted a breakfast the next day for anyone who stayed in the hotel. I didn't think many people would show but almost everyone did! They loved it and it was nice for me and DH to see everyone again the next day. It added to the festivities which i liked and made the next morning special.
