morning after

Original post by Castle

Is anyone planning on having a breakfast or brunch the morning after?? My mom thinks this is what everyone does and is planning one at the hotel for the OOT guests, but I never heard of this!!
Is anyone else having this?

Re: morning after

Our hotel provides free brunch coupons to all guests staying at the hotel. We get billed for whoever hands in their coupon for brunch. We will not be there the morning after but wanted to thank our guests in some way.

I really want one but I haven't gotten that far yet. I think a lot of hotels will do it complimentary when you block out rooms.

It is pretty common, I think. We didn't have a formal one (would have cost too much and would have required a headcount before the bfast), but said to our guests, to meet us at the buffet that morning, and then we paid for whomever showed up. Worked out really well.

Re: morning after

My parents are having an afternoon after bbq - this way no one has to wake up too early.

We did it. It was really nice to spend time with people before we left for the honeymoon.

My sister is doing this but I am not. I figure the hotel I book at will have a free continental breakfast. I don't have alot of OOT people anyway.

I figure that FH and I will most likely not get back to the room until 1 am at the earliest. No way I want to be dressed for breakfast at 10am. Depending on checkout time, sometimes you need to be even earlier.

I think it's everyone's personal choice. I just don't think the added expense is justified when you spent so much money the night before.

We are having a brunch in the hotel for out of town guests. It will give us a chance to say goodbye to people we dont get to see to often so I think its worth it.

I hear that it's pretty common but since FH (well at that time DH!) and I will be alone at a hotel we'll not be hosting anything. Just breakfast in bed maybe! hehe
