ugh so right now the most stressful thing for me is the ceremony music/readings etc.
The church is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of (because the summer is their off season) and we are working with their musical director and we have still not finalized anything in terms of hiring musicians, picking the songs, processional music, readings etc.
My programs have to go to print on Monday...=/
so stressed about this and it's so hard to do this from so far away...
is anyone else having similiar trouble with their church? or does anyone else feel this way about one thing in regards to the wedding - I mean this is the ONLY thing im stressed about right now...

well to make u feel any better. we have all our readings and we are meeting with the music director at our church in sat BUT the person marrying us is not our parish priest but my FH uncle form Delaware who is a preist.sooo i am doing it long distant! not fun very nerve racking he should be coming up to see us in person next month...oh Did I mention he is driving up the morning of our wedding. Luckily we are close with the priest at our church and he will be on stand by!!!

oh man! I'm totaly in the same position too! - because the priest that is marrying us is not our parish priest or the one who we went through premarital with and since we live in CA we have only met him once...
It is great that your priest will be on standby - I am sure that is super reassuring....I'm so nervous that everything is going to fall apart - I really really hope we can get it all worked out!

im sure you will. honestly, if your just doing a ceremony. theres an opening prayer, the first reading, second reading, homily, praters of the faithful, vows, unity candle rings..its pretty basic and is done generally the same all around in church so im sure the preist will know how to do it. but yes not sitting face to face sux and at our rehersal he wont be there!!1 so were trying to do one face to face prior. not fun
