How about I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack?

I danced to it with my Father but it's actually very fitting for a Mother/Daughter dance as well.

It's a really beautiful song.

I danced with my mom to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion and then later in the night she dedicated to me In My Daughter's Eyes by Martina McBride

'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' - Love that song - reminds me of the scene in 'Stepmom' with Susan Sarandon and her kids dancing around on the bed. Plus, its slow and fast.
