Re: Mother of the Bride Dresses

I bought my gown for my sons July wedding from www.shopshop.com.

Its actually a bridesmaid gown but very elegant. When I did my measurements, I was really concerned because I measured for a 2x (i'm on the chesty side). Being it was a gown that I couldn't try on, I ordered a 3x. Also, not knowing the quality of the fabric, the larger size was a better choice. When the gown came in, its absoutly beautiful. It was sooo well worth the money. The total for the gown including s/h was $110.00. You can't beat that price.

The gown is all satin, strapless, lined and has attached slip. The only major alterations will be the hem. Its way to long and being short and chesty, I'm having a balero jacket made. The gown also came with a satin shawl.

I'm very happy and satisfied!

Re: Mother of the Bride Dresses

My mom got hers at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, (beautiful dresses but a little pricey)
and my FMIL got hers at Lillettes in Baldwin, (the prices a little more reasonable, but not as fancy as Bridal Reflections)

I second Bridal Reflections...great selection!

ETA: also try looking on www.jovani.com website. There are some very pretty dresses there.
