Where has everyone's mothers gotten their mother of the bride's dresses from and how long did it take to come in and cost? Planning a wedding in 6 months is too stressful! Was anyone able to get a good deal with off the rack?

My mom and DH's mom both bought their dresses in deptartment stores. they cost under 175 each.

Bloomingdales had some nice options. My mom got hers in about 4 months from bridal reflections in massapequa.

sugar plum.. they have tons in stock..pricey but great selection and you take it right home..or have them alter..

For my sisters wedding my mom got hers at Elena Bridal in Merrick. They were great to work with and the dress turned out beautiful! Not too pricey either! HTH!

My mom is getting hers at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. 6 Months is def enough time and they have a good selection. Most of the dresses she tried on and liked were around $500. FMIL got her dress for FBILs wedding at Macys Manhasset. She's going to try there again this time.

I agree with Sugarplum being pricey. We saw dresses with a lot more embellishments for a lot cheaper elsewhere. It's also prom season so beware you may end up sharing space with a bunch of teenagers.

My mom just got hers on Tuesday at Totally You in Bellmore. Her dress was $399. You buy off the rack a lot there and they do the alterations in house and go over all the bead work for you to tighten it. We had a great experience.

My mom went to the Macy's Bridal Salon in Manhasset and got her MOG and MOB dresses the same day! They had a trunk sale. Still pricey, but she loves them and I love the one she's wearing to mine!

my mom got hers at village bridal. it is in already and i think we went end of october? it came in i think in january.
with a $100 coupon (found in the last newsday bridal segment - not the one that just came) i think it was like $320, alt cap maybe $80?

I went to Nordstrom last night at Roosevelt Field and they had a lot of beautiful MOB dresses. Also, Bridal Reflections has a big selection. Good luck!

My mom found her dress for my brother's wedding from Bridal reflections in massapequa. Since I got my dress there, she was able to get 10% off. We ordered in Jan. and was told that it would arrive by May. My mom also got the dress she is wearing for my wedding at a small shop near her home. She got the sample dress which fit her perfectly for about 50% off.
