MOther of the Bride dresses

My mom has been searching for 2 months now. It seems anything that is a legit 'Mother of the Bride' dress is $400-$1000. We just don't have the $$ for that and anything even close to the $400 range has been god awful on her.
We went to Lord n Taylor on 5th today though and my mom found her dress!!!! It's a beautiful gold beaded Adrianna Papall dress. We ended up having to order it online because the store did not have the right size but all day we kept thinking about it and it's just so pretty! YAY! One more down!

Go this week!! 20% off! We had a bad experience with a sales girl there though. But all the others were really nice. Their selection was pretty nice but keep in mind all these stores now have a ton of prom dresses. We went to Bloomingdales and it was 80% prom :/

yay!! My mom felt the same way about the dresses in the bridal stores- so ridiculously expensive and so matronly looking.. my mom hated that the beading looked like broaches on the dresses loll

Yay!! Congrats! This was honestly one of my favorite checks. I was so relieved when my mom found her dress...she also had a hard time finding something she liked and I was so happy to finallysee her in something that made her happy!

:) Yes! Very happy this was done. We have been looking for some time now and anything of interested was double what she could or would spend. Now to just get my BM's to buy theirs already!

Umm... so yea.. after all this, the zipper on her dress is crappy and won't work. She's also not sure if she gets it to work that it would fit right and is all upset. Sooooo back to square one. I need help. Been to Macy's, Bloomies, Lord n Taylor and RK Bridal... where else can we go. She's not spending $400+ for a 'Mother of the bride gown' so I'm hoping a real store with evening gowns that could have sales. We may go into the island this weekend but where? :/

Sounds silly but what about trying Estelle's? My brother's gf got her dress there for my wedding and it was a beautiful, full length dress with some beading on the top. It's worth a try.

Every location of department stores has different stock so maybe try other macys or Bloomingdales locations.. Or look online... Free shipping over $100 and you can return them in-store if that's more convenient for her/you
