motivation needed!

hi ladies- i can't believe i haven't been on LIW in 10+ days now, what's wrong with me??

i seriously haven't had motivation to do anything wedding related since my engagement party 2 weekends ago and i need a little pick-me-up!

every time i look at the longgggg list of things i still need to do, i use the excuse 'i still have so much time' but meanwhile i know that i want to get as much done now as possible.

has anyone else gone through an anti-wedding phase where you didn't want to be bothered with wedding stuff?? please tell me i'm not the only one lol

i'm hoping it's just because of the nice weather!

Don't worry!! We got engaged on 7/4/09, we booked our hall and church immediately and then I didn't do anything until April of this year. I kept saying 'I have so much time!!!' Honestly, this site helped get my a** moving! Start looking at things online and you'll start getting excited again. Before you know it you will be making appointments and getting checks!

I was wondering where my (seems to be only)hall twin went!!!! I've missed you!!!

Other than this site, i really havent been that wedding crazy!! Even yesterday I was home sick and I know that I have to get our DJ and photographer booked and just had no motivation. I thought going online and looking would excite me but so far...nothing hahaha. So you aren't the only one, i feel like i go in phases and actually decided to give myself a break after booking those 2 major things!!!

Us too!!! We got engaged on 7/3/09, booked the hall and church, and are just starting to do everything else.

There has just been so much going on with moving, weddings and life!!

June is the month to get the ball rolling!

Don't worry too much. I'm just starting to get my flowers, DJ, and other stuff. I have the motivation but I keep slacking...

Keep researching new ideas that you like and filing them away immediately. At least when you start up again, you'll have a lot to work with.

thanks hun, i do keep an e-file of pics that i like so that will be helpful once i start visiting vendors. i feel better knowing that other girls are going through the same thing!

Not sure, i didn't get that far hahaha. I know that there was a few moans and groans about them (people were thinking that they were sending people on here to rave about them hahaha) but I may try Parties Alive....I will probably actually focus more on the not so popular people. I feel like a dj is a dj for me and as long as they have the music i want and some lights, i'm a happy girl

that's exactly what i thought but when i told my mother she almost fainted lol- she was like are you kidding?? the dj is the most important part besides the place! i don't get it lol

I feel like the dj is SUPER important too but at the same time, any joe schmo with a computer can be a dj...i could be a damn dj hahahahahah
