anyone planning on living someplace other than NY after they are married....we have been talking about moving to SC.....FH parents are not happy about these discussions bc FH brother just moved to alabama in February....but we think that we will be able to live more comfortably down there. FH has been applying to Police depts down there and FMIL keeps tellling him he should apply to alabama......that way they can move down there and we can be all together.....but FH and i like SC better.....alabama is way to down south for us....anywho sorry for rambling...but i was just curious if anyone else was thinking about moving off LI due to absurd cost of living

I totally agree with you. I am not from the island and i seriously hate it as well. I want to move in a few years once the wedding is over and we can pick up and move....we are thinking about SC, NC or somewhere west. Its just too expensive around here and you can't get ahead even if you wanted to.
