FH and I are toying with the idea of moving up our wedding date from Oct, 2011 to Jan-Mar, 2011. In your experience with planning, what were the price differences that you received when you went to meet with RH's. I am planning to speak to my BM when things settle down for us. Just wanted some ideas on the price differences. Also, what themes would you use during the months of Jan-Mar? TIA

from what ive been hearing the prices are ALOT lower in jan-march..oct is a hot time for weddings so they raise prices..

agreed.... you will get lower prices during that time of the year because it's really off-season.
As far as themes goes...
color scheme wise you can do blues, silver, dark greens.
I know some people are doing 'Winter Wonderland' themes.
It's you do it in February, you can do a sort of Valentine theme and have lot's of reds or pinks.
Just some suggestions.

i think prices were like $30pp less in most RHs - one i remember for certain was the watermill. fri in sept/oct was 95 and in jan it was 69
as far as theme, i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the winter wonderland theme with the snowflakes and all the sparkle. I have some pix that I stole from the knot if you want some inspiration

i just want to say thank you ladies. I don't want you guys to think that I don't appreciate the help!! It's just that FH and I are going through some tough times right now, dealing with his fathers illness. FH still wants me to keep planning our wedding, even through this tough time, So THANK YOU again for all of your help!!
