I remember this being posted on the 09' boards but for the girls who are moving out of their parents house for the first time after the wedding... how was it? Or how do you think it's going to be?
Now that we have bedroom furniture I stayed over the apt this weekend with FH (only saying over on the weekends) and before I went to bed I called my mom and went to the fridge to pet a picture of my doggie cuz he always sleeps with me. Sad sad I know lol.

I lay in my bed at home and think of all the memories I had growing up and this is what makes it very sad for me b/c ive never left, not even for college.
but i also look forward to being with FH and that makes me happier
I do this same exactttt thing! And I think I am only making it harder for myself for when it is time to move out. I'm only going to be living 10min away from my family but still it's a huge transition to have to make.

My case is an interesting one. I always lived home with my parents, and then lived in Ft Lauderdale (alone) from July 2009 and then moved back in with my parents the first week of May 2010 (lived in FL for school reasons). Then DH and I got married on June 19th, were in Greece for two weeks, then came home and lived in my parents' guest house for ten days. Then we moved to DC (for my masters degree at Georgetown) mid July. It was harder to move to DC than to Florida bc I was married and it really was the end of an era. Plus, my moves are far ones so it is particularly difficult for me. But I now rarely get melancholy and we've only been here for about two weeks. I was only melancholy the first few days and while I miss them, I am REALLY enjoying the married life and being with my new hubby in a brand new city. HTH!

when i went away to college in summer of 2002 my room was packed up and moved.
then again two more times throughout college.
i moved from michigan to martha's vineyard. back to michigan (into yet another room in the house) then to florida. back to martha's vineyard then to here... and have been here (and moved twice) for the past 3 years.
i'm excited to finally move in with FH.
we lived together for a summer but i had my stuff in storage and just lived with him within his own space. it wasn't our space together.
this will be my first time living alone with a guy ever... but ... it'll be fine.
